Personality and bipolar disorder
Personality disorder
If you’re diagnosed with a personality disorder (borderline in other words), you should know that therapy is a solution to understand yourself, cope with hard situations and feelings, and accept who you are and heal. Please don’t panic – personality disorder is simply a disconnection between different parts of your subpersonality. Those parts are usually conflicted and living with this internal disconnection is exhausting, painful, and difficult. On top of that, you may hear voices and think you are going crazy. Great! It means you have a connection to different parts of your subpersonality. Please don’t worry! It is all normal when internal conflict and disconnection is going on. I would be privileged to have the opportunity to get to know all your parts.
Free yourself from:
- self-harm
- having significant changes in mood
- emotional pain
- devaluating yourself or other people
- easily falling into addictions
- falling into unsafe relationships (sex abuse)
- insomnia
- difficulty keeping a permanent job
- fear of relationships.
Bipolar disorder
People with bipolar experience episodes of severe depression, and also episodes of mania. They feel very excited, overwhelming joy, and experience surges of energy, sometimes with no need for sleep. It is like living on a rollercoaster, where ups and downs last for days or even weeks.
Being diagnosed with personality or bipolar disorder is not the end. You don’t need to suffer and be alone, avoiding people, projects, and life opportunities. From my experience, bipolar disorder is caused by the mixture of trauma and conflicted personality. It may seem too big to overcome, but it is possible. I will do my best to help you see a chance for a healthier and joyful life, and reach for it.
